FR 85531

FR 85531 is an early-maturing, high-yielding sunflower hybrid developed using innovative OPTYZ seed treatment. The hybrid features compact plant size, high resistance to lodging, and tolerance to various stem diseases, ensuring a stable and high yield under different climatic conditions. The seeds have high oil content, making this hybrid especially attractive for oil production.

The hybrid demonstrates excellent resistance to false powdery mildew, rust, fomopsis, fomosis, white mold of the head, and other diseases, confirmed by high tolerance ratings (8 to 9). Additionally, FR 85531 has high drought resistance (rating 9), enabling successful cultivation in areas with insufficient moisture and even under drought conditions. Resistance to the weed flea beetle is at level AG, further protecting crops from yield losses.

Recommended planting density varies depending on the growing region: in moderately moist areas — 55-60 thousand plants per hectare, in areas with insufficient moisture — 50-55 thousand, and under drought or critical drought conditions — 45-50 thousand plants per hectare. The hybrid is designed for conventional cultivation and is well-suited for use with the herbicide Granstar.
