AS 33 104 — a sunflower (Helianthus annuus L.) hybrid of medium-late maturity type. The plant is of medium height, non-branching, with medium-sized green leaves and blistering ranging from weak to medium. The leaves have prominent serration and a concave cross-section shape, with weakly expressed lateral wing-like segments. The upper stem part is covered with hairiness ranging from medium to strong. The florets are ligule-shaped, narrowly ovoid, yellow in color; tubular florets are orange without anthocyanin coloring of the stigmas. The head is drooping, small to medium in size, with a weakly convex seed side. The seeds are medium-sized, narrowly ovoid, brown in color with distinct grey stripes. The hybrid is characterized by high yield and oil content. Average seed yield in the Lower Volga region is 21.9 c/ha, with a maximum of 35.7 c/ha recorded in the Saratov region. Oil content in seeds is high at 50.5%, ensuring an average oil collection of 17.1 c/ha. AS 33 104 is resistant to white mold and imidazolinone herbicides, which facilitates weed and disease control. The hybrid is moderately susceptible to dodder, which requires control during cultivation. AS 33 104 is recommended for cultivation in various climatic conditions, including the Forest-Steppe and Polesie of Ukraine, as well as the Lower Volga region of Russia. It exhibits strong early development, providing flexibility in sowing dates and adaptability to different agro-climatic conditions. High resistance to drought and diseases makes this hybrid attractive for agricultural production, ensuring stable and high yield and oil content indicators.
