BSS1075 F1 Sweet Corn is an early bicolor hybrid of the SH2 (supersweet) type, a Dutch selection by Syngenta. The vegetative period ranges from 65 to 77 days, enabling a medium-early harvest. The plant is compact, reaching a height of 150-180 cm, with a branched root system and broad dark green leaves with short tassel leaves. The hybrid is characterized by high productivity and resistance to a wide spectrum of diseases, as well as adaptability to various agronomic conditions, including cultivation both on raised beds and under irrigation. The ears are cylindrical, 21-22 cm long and about 5 cm in diameter, with 16-18 evenly spaced rows of kernels. The kernels are bicolor — approximately 70% yellow and 30% white — giving the ear an elegant appearance. The kernels are tender, juicy, and sweet, with a small core, retaining their structure and sweetness even after storage and thermal processing. The ear tip is fully filled with kernels, indicating good kernel fill and high product quality. The BSS1075 F1 hybrid is recommended for open-field cultivation in various agroclimatic regions. It is suitable for both fresh market sales and processing — canning and freezing. To accelerate germination, seeds should be sown in warmed soil, although the hybrid’s seedlings are resistant to temperature fluctuations. High sugar content (about 28%) and excellent taste qualities make this hybrid an attractive choice for gardeners and producers.
