Almaz

The Safrole variety «ALMAZ» is a high-yielding plant with a height of 100–105 cm, featuring medium-sized and length green leaves, without thorns or serrations along the leaf margin. The inflorescences have a convex corolla, slightly inclined, and the petals are colored bright orange, which does not change during maturation. The seeds are of medium size, white in color, and possess high oil content – 28.8% fat in absolutely dry seeds.

Resistance to lodging and shattering in «ALMAZ» is high, making it suitable for mechanized harvesting. The vegetative period is about 91 days, and the uniformity of maturation is 80%. Seed yield reaches 16.2 t/ha, while the mass of 1000 seeds is in the range of 50–55 g. Medium-sized plants grow evenly and quickly, ensuring uniform development of the entire crop.

The variety «ALMAZ» is suitable both for the production of oilseed oil and as a dyeing plant. It is characterized by drought resistance and disease resistance, as well as the absence of pest damage according to the applicant's data. Due to its agronomic properties and high productivity, it is widely used in all regions where Safrole is cultivated.
