Rhodiola FIRSTURAL

Breeding Breakthrough: The Genetic Potential of Rhodiola 'Pervouralskaya'

The 'Pervouralskaya' variety is the result of intensive breeding by the Ural Federal Agrarian Research Center (Uro RAS). This highly specialized breeding stock is designed to produce stable pharmaceutical-grade raw materials in northern climates. Its primary technical advantage lies in the high concentration of bioactive compounds combined with adaptability to the extreme temperature fluctuations of the Ural region.

Biochemical Constants and Aroma Profile

A key characteristic distinguishing this variety from wild populations is the pronounced, intense aroma of its rhizomes. In practical terms, this indicates a high density of essential oils and glycosides (specifically rosavin and salidroside), which directly determines the product's value for phytopharmaceuticals. Laboratory data confirm that the variety maintains a consistent profile of active compounds when cultivated in specialized nurseries.

Cultivation and Technical Aspects

• Genetic Purity: Patented by the Ural Federal Agrarian Research Center, the variety ensures predictable yield and chemical composition.
• Adaptability: The crop shows significant winter hardiness and resistance to root rot, provided that soil drainage is strictly maintained.
• Reproduction: Utilizing certified planting stock from "Sady Altaya Agro" and original breeders minimizes the risk of population degeneration.

'Pervouralskaya' is a professional-grade asset for medicinal herb producers, requiring precise agronomic management to fully unlock the potential of the rhizomes. The genetically stable parameters of the variety allow for reliable yield forecasting as early as the initial planting phase.
