ASTANA

Rapeseed Astana is a medium-early winter rapeseed hybrid developed by the Saatbau breeding program, distinguished by high yield and quality characteristics. The yield potential reaches 65 centners per hectare, with oil content in seeds ranging from 47 to 50%, and protein content of 20-23%. Plants are medium-height, approximately 116-120 cm tall, with 1000-seed mass between 4.6-5.7 grams. The hybrid is characterized by prolonged flowering and rapid seed filling, which contributes to stable yield formation even under adverse climatic conditions. One of the key features of Astana rapeseed is its high resistance to unfavorable factors. The hybrid exhibits excellent drought tolerance, rated at 9 points, making it particularly valuable for cultivation in steppe and forest-steppe regions of Ukraine. Additionally, the plant demonstrates good winter hardiness and resistance to lodging due to its medium-height growth habit. A significant advantage is high tolerance to major diseases, such as phoma, alternaria, and turnip yellow virus (TuYV), ensuring crop preservation and yield quality. Rapeseed Astana is recommended for sowing between August 20 and 30, with late sowing allowed from September 1 to 10. Sowing rate ranges from 350,000 to 600,000 seeds per hectare depending on sowing time and growing conditions. The hybrid quickly regenerates in spring, facilitating successful plant development after winter. Thanks to its adaptive properties and stable productivity, rapeseed Astana is a reliable choice for farmers aiming to achieve high-quality yields across various climatic zones in Ukraine.
