Jerry, a hybrid of winter rapeseed, is an intensive mid-late maturing hybrid of type 00, characterized by the absence of erucic acid and low glucosinolate content. It is recommended for seed cultivation in the Northwestern, Central, Volga-Vyatka, and Middle Volga regions of Russia, as well as in the Kaliningrad region. The growing period of the hybrid is approximately 108 days, ensuring average flowering and maturation time. Plants reach a height of 110–113 cm, exhibit strong lateral branching, and are resistant to lodging and shattering, contributing to stable yields.
The Jerry hybrid demonstrates high productivity under intensive cultivation practices and good water availability. Average yield in the Northwestern region reaches 19.4 t/ha, which is 5.1 t/ha higher than the standard, with maximum yields up to 34.7 t/ha. In the Volga-Vyatka region, yield also exceeds the standard by 3.3 t/ha, reaching a maximum of 39.6 t/ha. The hybrid’s seeds contain a high oil content — 45.9%, making it attractive for oilseed production.
Morphological features of the plant include long and broad cotyledons, medium-sized green leaves with moderate leaf margin serration, and medium-sized yellow petals. Pods are short, either without a beak or with a short beak, facilitating harvest. The attachment height of lower branches varies from 46.7 to 57.2 cm, and the 1000-seed mass is approximately 4.0 g. The Jerry hybrid combines disease resistance, high oil content, and a yield potential exceeding 40 t/ha, making it an optimal choice for agricultural producers aiming to achieve high-quality and stable rapeseed yields.
