OREDEZH 4 is a spring rape (Brassica napus var. napus) type 00 variety characterized by the absence of erucic acid and low glucosinolate content. It is intended for cultivation both for seeds and green mass, making it a versatile crop. The plant is of medium height with green leaves lacking anthocyanin pigmentation and has a weak waxy coating. Flowering occurs early, and the vegetative period ranges from 44 to 58 days when grown for green mass and 96-116 days when grown for seeds. The mass of 1000 seeds varies from 3 to 4 grams, while the oil content in seeds reaches 43.2-45.9%, ensuring high oiliness of the crop. The variety is resistant to shattering and suitable for mechanized harvesting, which facilitates agricultural operations. OREDEZH 4 is distinguished by high yield: seeds can yield up to 25-35 ц/га (ц/ha), and green mass over 300 ц/га. Rape green mass is a valuable feed, especially in early spring, and contains up to 19 g of digestible protein per kilogram, as well as a significant amount of carotene, calcium, and phosphorus. Thanks to the possibility of obtaining 2-3 cuts of green mass, the variety is widely used in post-harvest and stubble sowing, as well as as a cover crop. Introducing rape into crop rotation increases the productivity of subsequent crops by 10-15%, and crop residues serve as an effective organic fertilizer, equivalent to 10-12 tons of manure per hectare. Additionally, OREDEZH 4 rape has resistance to Alternaria and lodging, which increases crop stability. It is an excellent predecessor for cereal crops, reducing the spread of root rots and other diseases such as Septoria and powdery mildew, which contributes to increasing wheat and barley productivity by 10-20%. Rape is also a valuable nectar source, capable of providing honey collection of up to 100 kg per hectare. Thus, the OREDEZH 4 variety represents a high-yielding, stable, and multifunctional crop suitable for various agricultural systems.
