Rapeseed Antaria

Technical Specifications of Antaria Winter Rapeseed

Antaria is a variety developed by the Vinnytsia State Agricultural Experimental Station of the NAAS, specifically engineered for the climatic conditions of the Ukrainian forest-steppe zone. The design focus is on balancing plant biomass with reliable yield performance.

Morphology and Developmental Dynamics

With a height of 90–100 cm, Antaria maintains a compact structure that facilitates optimal light penetration and efficient nutrient allocation during the reproductive phase. This size is calibrated to prevent lodging while maximizing the development of productive branches.

• Structural Integrity: The stem architecture is designed for durability during harvest, ensuring a cleaner cut and reduced mechanical losses.
• Yield Potential: Under standard intensive cultivation practices, the variety demonstrates a yield potential of 20–30 dt/ha, contingent upon effective micro-nutrient management and pest control.

Practical field experience indicates that Antaria exhibits strong winter hardiness, provided that fall establishment is performed to ensure the formation of a robust rosette. The variety adapts well to diverse soil profiles, showing high plasticity under variable rainfall. For farmers, this variety represents a stable, localized solution that prioritizes resilience over excessive vegetative growth, resulting in a predictable and manageable production cycle.
