Calendula Berezotitska soniachna

Focus on Biological Activity

"Berezotytska soniachna" is a specialized variety developed by the Research Station of Medicinal Plants of the NAAS, officially registered in 2020. Unlike common ornamental marigolds, this variety was bred specifically to maximize the yield of biologically active compounds, making it a top choice for pharmaceutical production and high-quality herbal raw material harvesting.

Morphology and Productivity

The variety is well-adapted to the Forest-Steppe zone of Ukraine. It is a medium-height plant with moderate branching, but its primary strength lies in its flowering intensity. The plant produces a large number of inflorescences, which simplifies harvesting and significantly increases the economic efficiency of the crop.

• Inflorescences: Medium-sized heads with vibrant orange ray florets and orange-yellow tubular florets.
• Raw Material Quality: A high number of rows of ray florets ensures a superior yield of medicinal material.
• Seeds: The average 1000-seed weight ensures excellent germination vigor and predictable crop development.

Who is this variety for?

"Berezotytska soniachna" is designed for professional medicinal herb growers who prioritize standardized raw materials. With its medium flowering onset, the variety allows for efficient planning of the harvest season. Beyond its pharmaceutical value, the variety is highly effective for landscaping: its intense color and high density of blooms make it an aesthetically pleasing choice for urban greening and garden design where both beauty and functionality are required.
