Sunflower Vulcan is a mid-early hybrid with high adaptability to stress conditions and drought resistance. The plant is of medium height, reaching 160–180 cm, with a medium-sized head and large seeds, ensuring a high seed recovery rate. The hybrid belongs to the extensive type and possesses intensive initial growth, which helps suppress weeds and improve leaf coverage.
Vulcan is characterized by high stability and the ability to form a good yield even under complex weather and agronomic conditions. The productivity potential of the hybrid exceeds 35 c/ha, while oil content in seeds ranges from 48 to 50%. The plant is moderately resistant to lodging and has moderate resistance to Phoma stem canker, but is susceptible to new races of nematode.
