Alambra CS is a simple early-maturing sunflower hybrid developed for the Express under Granstar technology, characterized by high yield and adaptability to various soil-climate conditions in Ukraine, including the Polissia, Forest-Steppe, and Steppe regions. The vegetation period is approximately 100-110 days, allowing for an early harvest. Plants reach a height of up to 178 cm, with a flat flower head of about 25-26 cm in diameter, which has nearly vertical inclination, facilitating efficient harvesting.
The hybrid has a high yield potential — up to 5.6 t/ha (56 centners/ha) with proper care and optimal growing conditions. It demonstrates stable performance even under drought conditions due to high drought resistance, as well as resistance to lodging and shattering. Seeds contain up to 54% oil, making this hybrid particularly attractive for oil production. Moreover, Alambra CS exhibits high resistance to major sunflower diseases, including fusarium, fusariosis, rust, false powdery mildew, gray and white rot, as well as to downy mildew (resistance level A-E).
Seeds are supplied in bags of 150,000 units, sufficient for sowing on an area of 2.2-2.5 hectares. They undergo fungicide-pesticide treatment with carbendazim, metalaxyl-M, microfertilizers, and growth stimulators, providing additional protection and improved germination. The recommended plant density at harvest time is 55-60 thousand plants per hectare, depending on soil moisture level. Due to its characteristics and resistance, the hybrid Alambra CS is an optimal choice for efficient and profitable sunflower cultivation in various regions of Ukraine.
