Darnel Mria

A Cornerstone of Domestic Forage Production

The perennial ryegrass variety "Mriya," developed by researchers at the National Scientific Center "Institute of Agriculture of the NAAS," stands as a hallmark of Ukrainian forage crop breeding. This variety was introduced to meet the needs of agricultural producers aiming to establish durable and high-yielding pastures and hayfields adapted to the variable climatic conditions of Ukraine.

Agronomic Potential and Requirements

"Mriya" is intended for producers committed to intensive cultivation practices. The variety demonstrates its full genetic potential only when provided with high-level care. Key operational factors include:

• High requirements for soil fertility and balanced mineral nutrition.
• Excellent tillering capacity, which facilitates the formation of dense grass stands.
• Consistent regrowth after multiple cuttings, a trait characteristic of premium ryegrass varieties.

The reputation of this variety is built on the reliability of the seed material sourced directly from the originator. "Mriya" is frequently selected for complex grass mixtures in intensive forage crop rotations, where the rate of green mass recovery is critical for livestock profitability.

Market Positioning

In the perennial grass segment, this variety occupies the niche of a "stable choice." It is a proven, reliable solution for farmers prioritizing predictable yields of protein and forage units. Utilizing certified seed from the originator ensures consistency, which is vital when establishing long-term pastures designed for a 5-to-7-year productive life cycle.
