Description REGINA PLUS
Cucumber Regina Plus — an early, bee-pollinated hybrid of the cornichon type, suitable for cultivation both in open ground and in protected soil. The vegetative period is approximately 40-45 days, allowing for a quick harvest. The plant is strong, compact, with predominantly female flowering, which contributes to high yield and uniform fruiting. Medium-climbing bushes adapt well to various climatic conditions, including water deficiency and sharp temperature fluctuations.

The fruits of cucumber Regina Plus are cylindrical, large-buckled, dark green, 8-11 cm long, weighing 80-100 g. They have excellent taste qualities and are suitable for fresh consumption as well as for pickling, marinating, and salting. Due to their salting properties, this hybrid is especially valued for both home and industrial use.

For successful cultivation of cucumber Regina Plus, it is recommended to use highly fertile, neutral, well-drained soils rich in organic matter. Sowing for seedlings is carried out at the beginning of May, followed by transplanting 20-day-old seedlings into the ground at the three- to four-true-leaf stage. When sowing directly into open ground, seeds are sown at a depth of 1.5-2 cm with row spacing of 50 cm, leaving 3-4 plants per linear meter after thinning. Timely watering, regular loosening, and mineral fertilization are necessary to ensure good growth and fruiting. The hybrid is resistant to pathogens causing powdery mildew and cucumber mosaic virus, and is also relatively resistant to false powdery mildew, significantly reducing disease risks and enhancing yield stability.
