PicoVell is a medium-maturing parthenocarpic cucumber variety intended for cultivation in winter glasshouses and under light culture. The plant is indeterminate, strongly branched, with female flower type, ensuring high fruit set and an early, uniform harvest. Suitable for winter-spring and summer-autumn rotations, it allows harvesting 4-5 crops per year under proper growing conditions.
The fruits of PicoVell are short, approximately 15 cm long, cylindrical, smooth with slight ribbing and green coloration. The weight of one fruit ranges from 50 to 120 grams, depending on growing conditions. The fruits are uniform, well-shaped, and have good storage quality, making them attractive for salad use.
The variety exhibits high resistance to powdery mildew, significantly reducing disease risk and increasing marketable yield, reaching up to 25 kg per square meter. The plant is open and well-balanced, facilitating care and harvest. PicoVell is included in the state registries of Russia and Moldova, confirming its adaptability and effectiveness in regional agriculture.
