NOVICHOK ALTAI

Cucumber NOVICHOK ALTAI is an early-maturing hybrid of cornichon type, suitable for cultivation both in open and protected soil. The fruits of this variety have a length of 6 to 9 cm and a diameter of 1-3 cm, weighing approximately 80-90 g. The cucumbers are finely ribbed, white-tipped, uniformly shaped and sized, with a pleasant taste free of bitterness, making them suitable for fresh consumption and pickling. A distinctive feature of this variety is the prolonged retention of green color in the fruits, which is particularly convenient for gardeners who visit their plots irregularly.

The variety is characterized by high yield, reaching up to 6 kg per square meter, and resistance to major cucumber diseases, including bacterial disease and fungal infections. The hybrid predominantly exhibits female flowering and tolerates short-term temperature drops, making it especially suitable for cultivation in northern regions and areas with sharp temperature fluctuations and cold fogs. The medium-height, moderately branched plant with 1-2 female flowers per node ensures stable fruiting.

The cucumbers have an egg-shaped form with short stripes and white hairs, giving them an attractive appearance. The variety is recommended for use in salads due to its excellent taste qualities. The recommended planting density is 30–50 thousand plants per hectare, enabling efficient cultivation and high yield in the West Siberian region and other areas with similar climatic conditions.
