GALAAD

Cotton variety GALAAD is a high-yielding early-maturing French selection with a vegetation period of about 85 days. It is characterized by high oil content and excellent early growth. This variety is adapted for cultivation in various climatic zones and agricultural production directions, making it a versatile choice for farmers.

GALAAD variety is characterized by high straw yield — up to 7.0 tons per hectare, with a fiber yield from straw of 26%. The fiber has excellent technical properties: fiber count — 15, flexibility — 34 mm, tensile strength — 15 daN, and bale length reaches 85 cm. These indicators ensure high-quality raw material for textile products and other goods.

In addition, GALAAD cotton exhibits high resistance to major diseases and adverse factors: resistance to wilting is rated at 8 points, to verticillium — 7, to fusarium — 8, to rust — 8, to powdery mildew — 7, and to anthracnose — 8 points. For successful cultivation, it is important to observe optimal sowing dates, select appropriate soil, and provide necessary fertilization, which contributes to maximum productivity and quality of the harvest.
