The industrial hemp variety Lirina is a high-yielding and adaptable variety developed for industrial cultivation in Ukraine. It is characterized by a high oil content in seeds — around 45% — which significantly exceeds that of similar varieties. Average yields amount to 6.2 tons of stalks, 1.4 tons of fiber, and 2.0 tons of seeds per hectare, making this variety profitable for comprehensive use.
Lirina combines low stature with high yield, simplifying agronomic work and enhancing harvesting efficiency. The average fiber content of the stalks enables obtaining high-quality fiber and hurd, opening additional opportunities for processing and profit. Due to these characteristics, the variety is suitable for organic cultivation and can be used in the food industry.
Moreover, the Lirina variety exhibits stability and uniformity in non-narcotic traits, confirmed by tetrahydrocannabinol content in leaves and flowers not exceeding 0.2%, in accordance with Ukrainian legislation. It is resistant to pests, diseases, and adverse environmental conditions, ensuring reliable and stable yields. The variety has been included in the State Register of varieties suitable for distribution in Ukraine since 2022.
