Glukhovskie 85 — a variety of industrial hemp, developed by the Glukhov Institute of Hemp Cultures and registered in the State Register of Varieties of Ukraine in 2019. This variety is intended for bienergy use and is characterized by high fiber and dry stem yields. The plants have relatively low height, which facilitates and increases harvest efficiency. Plant height reaches about 253 cm, which contributes to ease of agronomic operations.
The variety has a long vegetative period: up to technical maturity — 103 days, up to biological maturity — 133 days. This allows obtaining significant biomass, which is especially important for energy use. Dry stem yield reaches 12.5 tons per hectare, fiber — 4 tons per hectare, with fiber content in stems of 34–36%. Additionally, seed yield is 0.7–1.22 tons per hectare, with seed oil content around 28%.
Glukhovskie 85 is resistant to major diseases and pests, including fusarium, hemp rust, and stem aphid, confirmed by resistance rating of 7 points. Recommended for cultivation in the Polissia and SL zones. Due to its characteristics, this variety is a reliable choice for industrial hemp cultivation aimed at obtaining fiber, biomass, and seeds.
