Samokhvalovsky cheremuh – is a decorative and fruit-bearing plant, characterized by its vibrant activity and bright green crown. The fruits have a pear shape, weigh from 6 to 8 grams, and feature juicy, crisp flesh with a sweet-sour taste and rich red color. They are rich in vitamins and minerals, making them valuable both for nutrition and for preparing various dishes.
The variety is distinguished by its high resistance to diseases and pests, as well as winter hardiness down to –30 °C, so its cultivation does not require special care efforts. Samokhvalovsky cheremuh prefers light, fertile soils with good drainage; when planting, it is recommended to use holes with a nutrient pad made of sand, compost, and garden soil. Regular watering in the spring and summer periods, as well as fertilizing with fertilizers (ammonium nitrate, superphosphate, wood ash), contribute to the good development of the crown and increased yield.
The harvest is collected at the end of summer or early autumn when the fruits are fully ripe. Thanks to the variety of shapes – from barrel-like to cylindrical – and rich color, Samokhvalovsky cheremuh can become a bright accent in garden design, as well as a source of a tasty product for jams, infusions, and other dishes.
