Lady Rosetta

Lady Rosetta is a late-maturing, versatile Dutch selection potato variety with a maturation period of 80-95 days. The plants are low-growing, semi-erect, with stems colored in anthocyanin. The leaves are medium-sized, moderately open, medium-green with moderate anthocyanin vein coloration. Flowering is weak, with flower stems and corollas having a vivid red-purple color, and fruiting is absent or very rare.

The tubers of Lady Rosetta are round, with red skin and light-yellow flesh. The skin is moderately smooth, eyes are medium-depth with a red base. The weight of marketable tubers ranges from 48 to 123 grams, and the number of tubers per plant is from 6 to 12. Starch content ranges from 14.5-22.0%, ensuring high quality for processing. The taste is good, and marketability reaches 64.5-94.8%. Yield ranges from 127 to 324 centners per hectare, with maximum yields reaching 464 centners per hectare.

The variety is highly resistant to potato blight, nematodes, and viruses of types "A" and "X", and has low susceptibility to tuber late blight. Due to its high dry matter content and low reducing sugar level (less than 0.15%), Lady Rosetta is especially valued for chip, french fry, flake, and other potato product manufacturing. The optimal storage period for tubers is 4-6 months at a temperature around 7 degrees Celsius, which should be maintained constantly to preserve quality.
