Lucinda potato variety belongs to medium-late table types with a vegetation period of 125-140 days and market maturity occurring after 90-105 days. Plants are tall, stem-type with upright or semi-upright stems. Leaves are medium-sized, intermediate type, green in color, and flower buds vary from medium to large size. Tubers are oval with small eyes, with yellow skin and flesh. The average weight of marketable tubers ranges from 98 to 121 grams, and starch content varies between 11.9-15.9%. The taste is excellent, considered a standard, with a tender texture reminiscent of buttered potatoes.

The Lucinda variety is distinguished by high yield: market yield ranges from 202 to 465 centners per hectare, with a maximum of 550 centners per hectare, significantly higher than standard varieties such as Nikulin. Marketable tuber percentage ranges from 81-97%, and storability reaches 97%, making this variety suitable for long-term storage. Additionally, Lucinda exhibits very high heat and drought resistance, ensuring stable yields under various climatic conditions.

The variety is characterized by high resistance to major diseases and pests: it is resistant to potato cyst nematode and golden potato cyst nematode. According to the breeder, the variety is moderately resistant to late blight and has enhanced resistance to scab. These qualities make Lucinda a reliable choice for cultivation in the Northwest, Central Chernozem, and North Caucasus regions of Russia.
