Purpose: ACTARA, WG, stomach and contact insecticide, intended for protection of potatoes from Colorado beetle; currants from aphids; ornamental and flowering crops from aphids, whiteflies, thrips and scale insects. The insecticide can be applied by spraying plants during vegetation or by soil application. When applied to soil, it exhibits strong systemic activity.
Recommendations for use in private household gardens:
On potatoes, to protect against Colorado beetle, ACTARA, WG is applied at a rate of 0.6-0.8 g of the preparation per 100 m², with 5 liters of water per 100 m². One 4 g package is sufficient to treat 5.0-6.7 m² of potato plants. The protective period lasts 3-4 weeks. When applied correctly, one application is sufficient to protect against one generation of Colorado beetle. ACTARA, WG has good rainfastness. If rain occurs 2 hours after application of ACTARA, WG on potatoes, no repeat application is necessary. ACTARA, WG penetrates into plant leaves, which contributes to prolonged and effective protection regardless of weather conditions. At the same time, the preparation does not penetrate potato tubers.
On currants, to protect against aphids, particularly leaf red gall aphid, spraying should be conducted before flowering, when leaves appear. The second application should be performed at the end of the season. The dosage is 2 g of the preparation per 10 liters of water, 10 liters of working solution per 40 currant bushes.
ACTARA, WG has proven effective in protecting potted and ornamental plants from aphids, whiteflies, scale insects, and false scale insects. For protection of potted ornamental plants, dissolve 4 g of the preparation in 5 liters of water; the working solution dosage is 2 liters per 100 m².
On ornamental and flowering crops, to protect against aphids and whiteflies, dissolve 4 g of the preparation in 8 liters of water. This amount is sufficient to treat 80 m². Against thrips, dissolve 4 g of the preparation in 5 liters of water. This amount is sufficient to treat 50 m².
The insecticide ACTARA, WG can be applied not only by spraying, but also by soil application with irrigation.
For potted ornamental plants, to protect against aphids, whiteflies, thrips, scale insects, and false scale insects, the preparation can be applied by soil irrigation. During irrigation, the dosage is 1 g per 10 liters of water, for plants up to 40 cm tall. The working solution dosage is 10 liters per 10 m² (250 pots).
To protect against wireworms, dissolve 4 g of the insecticide ACTARA, WG in 10 liters of water and evenly pour into trenches (holes) at planting time. The working solution dosage is 10 liters per 100 linear meters. Soil application of ACTARA, WG at planting time allows complete elimination of spraying potatoes during vegetation against Colorado beetle.
To protect cabbage from cabbage fly, irrigate cabbage seedlings in trays (pots) 1-2 days before transplanting into the soil. Dissolve 4 g of the preparation in 2 liters of water. This amount is sufficient to treat 0.7 m² of seedling area. Do not allow soil overwatering.
Preparation of working solution (private household): preparation of the working solution should be conducted outdoors. For convenience, prepare a mother solution: dissolve the contents of the packet in 1 liter of water, using a larger container (e.g., 1.5-2 liters). To prepare the working solution, fill the sprayer tank with ¼ water, add 150-200 ml (potatoes), 250 ml (currants) or 600 ml (ornamental crops) of the mother solution, then top up the working solution to 5 liters. Close the sprayer lid, shake vigorously. The sprayer is ready for use.
Protective period: 14-28 days when spraying crops; 40-60 days when applied to soil.
Speed of action: insects stop feeding 30 minutes after treatment with ACTARA, WG; complete insect mortality occurs within 24 hours.
The preparation is highly toxic to bees (protective zone for bees is 4-5 km; bee flight restriction is 96-120 hours), slightly toxic to birds, fish, earthworms, and aquatic organisms.
Storage of the preparation: store the preparation in a dry, dark place at temperatures from -10°C to +35°C.
