Destroys the problem at the root!
Shkval, VK — a systemic herbicide with broad-spectrum action, designed for combating annual and perennial grasses and broadleaf (including woody) weeds on non-agricultural sites.
Advantages
significantly outperforms glyphosate-containing herbicides;
excellent soil activity — 100% control of unwanted vegetation for 2 years;
reliably eradicates herbaceous, shrub, and woody vegetation, including difficult-to-eradicate and quarantine (willow, blackberry, bindweed, creeping mustard, etc.) species;
application possible both pre-emergence and post-emergence;
unlimited timing for protective measures;
rainfall within one hour after application does not affect herbicide efficacy;
ability to rapidly penetrate and destroy plants covered with dust and oil;
consistently high efficacy across all regions of Russia, varying in soil-climatic conditions and weed species composition.
Formulation
Water-soluble concentrate containing 250 g/l imazapir
Mode of action
The product is absorbed by plant roots and leaves, moves through xylem and phloem, accumulating at growth points. The active ingredient inhibits synthesis of branched-chain amino acids, which control protein and cell growth synthesis. This leads to disruption of protein synthesis, causing DNA synthesis disruption and slowing cell growth in weeds.
Protective period
Provides protection against weeds for at least one season. On non-agricultural sites, the product’s effect on weeds may last 3–5 years.
Speed of action
Visible signs of weed death appear 2–4 weeks after application. On deciduous trees, leaf drop occurs over 1 and more months.
Area of application
Non-agricultural lands (protective zones of power lines and clearings, gas and oil pipeline corridors, embankments and right-of-way strips of railways and highways, airfields and other industrial sites)
Compatibility
The product is effective when applied alone. May be applied in mixtures with other herbicides.
Potential for resistance development
Not detected.
Application technology. Preparation of working solution
Working solution is prepared immediately before spraying. Before preparing the working solution, the product should be thoroughly mixed in the factory packaging. Fill the sprayer tank 1/3 with water, add the full dose of the product, and top up with the remaining water while mixing to the required volume.
Sprayers used for application include backpack sprayers and ground-mounted boom sprayers of models OPSh-15-01, OPV-1200-01, ON-400, OP-2000-2-01, etc.
Preparation of the working solution and filling the sprayer are carried out on designated areas, which are subsequently decontaminated.
Phytotoxicity
No resistant crops.
Recommendations for protecting beneficial flora and fauna
The product is low-risk for bees — 3 hazard class, hazardous for fish — 2 hazard class. Compliance with the basic provisions of the "Instructions for Preventing Bee Poisoning by Pesticides" and the following ecological regulations:
conduct spraying when wind speed is up to 4–5 m/sec;
bee protection buffer zone — at least 2–3 km;
bee flight restriction — 3–4 hours.
Prior notification of apiary owners is required 4–5 days before application. Aerial application is prohibited within sanitary zones around fishery water bodies, 500 meters from the floodplain boundary at maximum flood level, but no closer than 2 km from existing shorelines.
Transportation and storage conditions
Observe all standard rules for transporting toxic substances. Store the product in a designated pesticide storage facility. Storage temperature range from -10°C to +25°C. Before use, the product should be mixed.
Shelf life
3 years.
Hazard class
2 hazard class, highly hazardous substance.
