Mechanism of Action and Physiological Impact

The efficacy of Priority SC lies in its ability to inhibit acetolactate synthase (ALS), a crucial enzyme required for the synthesis of branched-chain amino acids in plants. Once applied to the leaves, the systemic active ingredient is rapidly translocated to the meristematic tissues. This process triggers an immediate halt in cell division, leading to the rapid chlorosis and subsequent death of the weed. Key targets include:
