In field operations, the goal is to give the crop an advantage before the first weeds even sprout. It is a systemic pre-emergence soil herbicide that works as a protective shield. Its core strength, pendimethalin, creates a barrier in the topsoil that effectively prevents the germination of most annual grasses and broad-leaved weeds.

Practical application and handling

The success with PANDA depends heavily on soil preparation. If the soil is cloddy, the protective layer becomes uneven, reducing its effectiveness. Apply it during pre-sowing cultivation or immediately after sowing, but before the crop emerges. The product is moisture-dependent, so it performs best when the soil is properly moist. A rate of 3–6 L/ha allows for flexibility depending on the weed pressure in the specific field.

• Selectivity: Being a selective herbicide, it leaves the primary crop untouched when applied at the correct rates and phases.
