Systemic herbicide for complete destruction of growing weed plants. Desiccant for agricultural crops
Active ingredient: isopropylamine salt of glyphosate, 480 g/l, acid equivalent 360 g/l
Manufacturer: Peters & Burg Ltd, Hungary
Formulation: aqueous solution
Packaging: 1L, 20L canister
Mode of action
The active ingredient is absorbed by the above-ground parts of the plant and distributed throughout all organs, disrupting protein synthesis. Blocking photosynthesis and respiration in plants leads to their complete death, including the root system.
Characteristics and advantages
• Due to its systemic action, the product eliminates not only the above-ground parts of plants but also their root systems, which is extremely important when combating perennial root-seeding weeds.
• ARGUMENT® allows effective control of both annual and perennial weeds on fields prepared for sowing; thus, it helps retain moisture and ensures timely crop emergence.
• Systemic application of the product significantly reduces overall field weediness and, as a result, minimizes soil mechanical treatments.
• Application as a desiccant significantly accelerates and simplifies the harvesting process of agricultural crops, reduces crop losses due to disease spread and adverse weather conditions, and substantially saves fuel for harvesting operations.
Application recommendations
As a herbicide, the product is applied as a single ground application to growing weeds. The dosage depends on weed species and their growth stage. Spraying should be conducted 12-14 days before mechanical treatments (cultivation, disk harrowing, plowing). Rainfall within 6 hours after spraying may significantly reduce the product’s efficacy. Do not apply if air temperature is below +12°C or exceeds +25°C. The working solution dosage depends on vegetation density and ranges from 200 to 400 L/ha. Complete and even coverage of plants with the working solution is essential.
When mixed with water, the product tends to foam excessively. Therefore, to prepare the working solution, fill the sprayer tank with water to 3/4 of its volume, add the required amount of the product, and activate the mixing mode. Continue mixing while filling the tank with water to full capacity.
Application as a desiccant for agricultural crops.
Treatment is primarily conducted via aerial application 12-14 days before harvest, at a dosage of 3 L/ha. At this time, grain moisture should not exceed 30%. The working solution dosage for aerial application should be at least 100 L/ha.
