Systemic fungicide with curative and preventive action, effectively protecting leaves, shoots, and fruits from powdery mildew on apple and oidium on grapevine
Active ingredient: penconazole, 100 g/l
Manufacturer: Peters & Burg Ltd, Hungary
Formulation: concentrate emulsion.
Packaging unit: canister, 5 L
Mode of action
The active ingredient, penconazole, has systemic action. After penetrating the plant, it quickly distributes throughout it, blocking ergosterol synthesis in the cell membranes of the pathogen. The preparation protects against initial infection at the beginning of vegetation and provides reliable protection against secondary infection throughout the entire vegetation period.
Characteristics and advantages
Highly effective protection against pathogens causing powdery mildew, especially during the stage of eliminating primary infection.
Systemic action enables protection of all parts of the plant from powdery mildew pathogens.
The preparation ALMAZ 100 has curative properties, allowing to avoid negative effects of the pathogen on crops even if infection has already occurred.
Rapidly absorbed by plants and resistant to wash-off by rain.
Efficacy of the preparation is not dependent on weather conditions.
Relatively low application rate ensures minimal chemical load on 1 ha of sown area.
Compatibility with other pesticides allows the use of ALMAZ preparation in integrated crop protection systems.
Application recommendations
The preparation is applied by ground spraying. Maximum efficacy is observed when applied preventatively, when weather conditions favor the development and spread of the pathogen or at the first signs of disease. In such cases, the preparation should be applied at minimum rates. During epidemic years or at the first signs of plant infection, the preparation should be applied at maximum rates. Interval between treatments is 10–14 days.
To prepare the working solution, fill the sprayer tank with water to 1/3 of its volume, turn on the mixing mode, and add the required amount of preparation. Fill the sprayer tank with water to full capacity while the mixing mode is on. The rate of working solution application is: for grapevines — 500–1000 L/ha; for apple trees — 800–1000 L/ha.
Personnel may enter treated areas for mechanized work after 3 days, and for manual work — after 7 days.
