Binary contact-systemic fungicide with protective and curative action for protection of cereal, vegetable, technical, fruit and berry crops from powdery mildew, rots, rust and spot diseases.
Formulation and active ingredient:
Wettable powder containing thiophanate-methyl 700 g/kg and penconazole 25 g/kg.
Chemical class:
Thiourea benzol derivatives and triazoles.
Packaging:
Bags of 1 kg.
Duration of protective action:
10-17 days.
Mode of action:
Thiophanate-methyl rapidly penetrates into plant tissues and inhibits the development of pathogenic fungi. The fungitoxic effect of the preparation consists in inhibition of cell division processes (inhibits nuclear division) of pathogens, preventing spore germination and appressorium formation.
Penconazole inhibits biosynthesis of sterols in fungal cell walls and disrupts physiological processes of pathogens, leading to their rapid death.
Properties and advantages:
Suitable for application on many agricultural crops where there is a threat of infection by powdery mildew, rust, cercosporosis, gray and fruit rots;
Exhibits strong systemic action due to synergism of active ingredients;
Curative properties of the preparation become apparent within 48 hours after infection;
Rapid uptake by plants reduces the risk of wash-off by rain;
Long-lasting action allows reducing the number of fungicide applications;
No risk of resistance development due to multi-mechanism of action;
Due to thiophanate-methyl and penconazole, one application provides protection of cereal crops against diseases of flag leaves and ears;
Not phytotoxic to agricultural crops when applied according to the recommended dosage.
WHO classification, toxicological characteristics:
Class III (moderately toxic).
Shelf life and storage conditions of the preparation:
Three years in sealed factory packaging at temperatures from 0 ºC to +35 ºC.
