Mid-season ripening variety, obtained at the Institute of Fruit Growing of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus through self-pollination of the Minay Shmyrev variety. Authors: A.G. Voluznev, N.A. Zazulina, A.F. Raduk. Since 2002, included in the State Register of Varieties Approved for Use in the Central Region of the Russian Federation.
Strong-growing, slightly spreading, medium-dense bush. Growing shoots are thick, green, unevenly colored with anthocyanin, hairless. Woody shoots are dark brown, matte, medium and thin, curved, with nodes bearing 2-3 buds. Buds are large, elongated, thin, green, spindle-shaped, with a pointed tip, arranged parallel to the shoot, sometimes on a long stem. Terminal bud is non-free, green, large, cylindrical, loose, with smaller buds nearby. Bud scales are long with very large "noses". Leaf scars are round.
Leaf is five-lobed, green, shiny, pointed, wrinkled, broadly spread. Central lobe is long, pointed, corrugated, folded along the central vein, with the apex directed downward and additional protrusions. Side lobes are pointed, angle between veins of side lobes is obtuse or straight. Upper sides of side lobes are raised and positioned at an acute angle to the central vein, lower sides are strongly skewed. Basal lobes are well-defined, pointed, with spread veins. Notches between lobes are sharp and deep. Base of leaf has an open, medium-depth notch. Teeth are small, saw-toothed. Petiole is uncolored with a bronze tint.
Flowers are large, rose-green. Pistil is located lower than stamens in the flower. Inflorescences are medium and long, medium thickness. Pedicel is short, green.
Berries are large (1.4 g), black, round, with thin but firm skin. Calyx is round, closed, small. Pedicel is medium length. Flavor is tart-sweet, pleasant, flesh juicy, tasting score 4.8 points. Berries are of universal use. Chemical composition: dry soluble substances — 13.4%, total sugars — 9.3%, titratable acidity — 2.3%, ascorbic acid — 190.0 mg/100 g, pectic substances (on fresh weight) — 1.3%.
Winter-hardy variety, high-yielding (up to 18.0 t/ha), characterized by high self-fertility, no berry drop, moderately affected by American powdery mildew and leaf spot diseases.
Advantages of the variety: high yield.
Disadvantages of the variety: fungal disease infection and berry splitting.
