Description Birdchanka
Medium-ripening variety, obtained at Novosibirsk ZPЯOS from crossing varieties Druzhnaya and Altayskaya dessert. Authors: A.A. Potapenko, A.I. Degtyareva, A.A. Khristo. Included in the State Register of Varieties in 1990, approved for use in the West Siberian and East Siberian regions.

Strong-growing, moderately spreading bush. Stems of medium thickness, straight.

Leaves of medium size, green, shiny, wrinkled.

Berries large (1.1-1.6 g), tart-sweet flavor (3.9 points). Inflorescences long (9.0-10.0 cm). Chemical composition: total sugars — up to 10.8%, titratable acidity — up to 2.6%, catechins — up to 589.0 mg/100 g, anthocyanins — up to 606.5 mg/100 g, ascorbic acid — up to 132.1 mg/100 g. Berry transportability is good.

Highly winter-hardy, self-fertile, resistant to powdery mildew, anthracnose, and bud mite; affected moderately by septoria. Average yield: 5.1 t/ha, maximum — 8.6 t/ha.

Advantages of the variety: high winter hardiness, resistance to powdery mildew and bud mite.

Disadvantages of the variety: susceptible to rust and septoria.
