Cucumber Severyanin F1 is an early self-pollinating hybrid of the cornichon type developed by Enza Zaden. This variety features a vigorous plant with a strong root system and short internodes, facilitating care and promoting stable fruit formation. The vegetative period is 32-35 days, allowing for an early harvest both in open ground and in polyethylene greenhouses. The plant is resistant to a broad spectrum of diseases, including cucumber mosaic virus and powdery mildew, and does not drop flowers even under insufficient lighting and low temperatures, ensuring a stable yield under various conditions. Severyanin cucumber fruits have a cylindrical shape, 12-14 cm long and weighing about 120-150 grams. Their skin is dark green without light stripes, glossy, and covered with small spines, preventing cracking during transport. The fruits are large-ribbed and maintain uniform shape throughout the entire vegetation period. The flesh is tender, crisp, juicy, with a distinct flavor and pleasant aroma, making them suitable for fresh consumption, culinary use, pickling, marination, and processing. Severyanin F1 is characterized by high productivity and forms the main part of the yield on the main stem, with up to three fruits forming in each leaf axil. The plant exhibits slow lateral branching and limited sucker growth, simplifying agronomic care and maintenance. Due to its resistance to stress conditions and diseases, this hybrid is suitable for cultivation in first and second crops, ensuring a stable and high-quality yield in various climatic zones.
