HOUSEHOLD

Cucumber of the "Household" variety is a high-yielding parthenocarpic early-maturing hybrid, ideal for cultivation both in greenhouses and on windowsills indoors. Plants are strong, with main stems reaching up to 3.0–3.5 meters in length and moderate branching capacity. Cucumbers have a cylindrical shape, 20–22 cm in length, 4.0–4.5 cm in diameter, and weigh 180–210 g. Their dark green surface is distinctly ribbed with white spines and a small "handle" at the base. The flavor quality of the fruits is excellent, making this variety especially attractive for home cultivation.

For successful cultivation of "Household" cucumbers on windowsills, pots or containers with plants should be placed on the south side, providing a warm and humid environment. The optimal temperature for growth is +21–24 °C during the day and no lower than +18 °C at night. Before planting, seeds are treated with potassium permanganate solution and sown 1.5 cm deep into the soil. After sprout emergence, containers are covered with plastic film and moved to the windowsill. Regular watering, organic fertilization, and stem support for proper plant formation and pest control are essential care elements.

The hybrid exhibits high shade tolerance and early fruiting, enabling consistent and abundant harvests even under limited space and light conditions. Planting density is 2.5–3.0 plants per square meter, with yields reaching 6–7 kg per plant. Thanks to its characteristics and ease of care, the "Household" cucumber is an excellent choice for those who wish to grow fresh and flavorful cucumbers right at home.
