Cucumber variety Evgeniya is a parthenocarpic salad-type variety intended for winter-spring cultivation, as confirmed by its inclusion in the State Register for the 3rd daylight zone. The plant is indeterminate with a female flowering type, characterized by moderate branching and leafiness. Leaves are medium-sized, green in color with smooth surface and regular serrated edges. Cucumbers are cylindrical in shape with short necks, smooth, green, reaching a length of about 26 cm with a diameter of 3.5 cm and a weight of approximately 175 g. The taste quality of the fruits is excellent, making them attractive for salads and fresh consumption. Fruit set begins on day 69-71 after emergence of full seedlings. Commercial yield in winter greenhouses ranges from 22.2 to 26.7 kg per square meter, exceeding the standard yield of variety Alice F1 by 2.1-5.1 kg. Commercial output reaches 98-100%, indicating high cultivation efficiency. Additionally, the variety exhibits resistance to cladosporiosis, enhancing its reliability and reducing the risk of yield losses due to diseases. Cucumbers of variety Evgeniya are suitable for fresh consumption due to their excellent taste quality, and can also be used for canning and pickling, preserving crisp texture and appealing appearance. Due to high yield and disease resistance, this variety is an excellent choice for winter greenhouse cultivation, ensuring a stable and high-quality harvest.
