Maize Surista

Agronomic Profile of the Zurista Hybrid: Focus on Maturity

German breeding by Saaten-Union is synonymous with reliability under stressful climatic conditions. The Zurista maize hybrid is a solution for growers focused on early harvesting without compromising grain quality. With a vegetation period of 90-100 days, this hybrid enables efficient crop rotation management and allows farmers to avoid late-season temperature risks.

Technical Features and Performance

• Biological Dynamics: The short growing cycle is supported by a genetic mechanism designed for rapid grain moisture loss. This feature significantly reduces drying costs and minimizes the risks of crop deterioration during the autumn season.
• Cob Structure: The hybrid shows excellent filling, which directly affects grain test weight. Saaten-Union’s breeding solutions ensure uniform cob development, even at higher planting densities.
• Adaptability: Zurista responds well to intensive cultivation technologies but maintains its yield potential even under moderate fertilizer regimes, making it a flexible tool for managing production costs.

In practice, utilizing this hybrid allows for reaching optimal grain moisture levels by harvest time, which is crucial for operations with limited drying capacity. Strong early vigor helps the crop close the rows quickly, suppressing weed competition during the initial growth stages.
