Maize Opanat

Early Maturity as a Basis for Profitability

In the face of shifting climatic conditions in Ukraine, farmers are increasingly opting for hybrids capable of avoiding summer drought stress. The “Opanat” maize hybrid from RVA Ukraina is designed precisely to secure fodder supply or grain production within a short timeframe. With a vegetation period of 90–100 days, this simple hybrid is an excellent solution for regions with shorter growing seasons or for those utilizing double-cropping systems.

Why Choose Opanat?

The core strength of this hybrid lies in its simplicity and reliability. Unlike complex multi-line hybrids, Opanat offers more uniform field development, which is critical for efficient harvesting. Key advantages include:

• Yield Predictability: Stability in grain quality when standard agronomic practices are followed.
• Technological Flexibility: The hybrid adapts well to various soil types typical of Ukrainian agro-climatic zones.
• Rapid Moisture Release: Due to its early maturity, the crop reaches target moisture levels before autumn rains, significantly reducing post-harvest drying costs.

Who Is This For?

Opanat is ideal for growers who cannot afford the risks associated with late-maturing crops. It serves as a “workhorse” for livestock-focused farms where silage volume is paramount, as well as for medium-sized operations looking to minimize climatic risks. It is important to note that, like any early-maturing hybrid, Opanat maximizes its potential when provided with adequate mineral nutrition during the early growth stages when the root system is established.

When working with RVA Ukraina products, it is important to consider their local development: these seeds are specifically adapted to domestic soil and temperature conditions, providing a distinct advantage over imported varieties that often require highly specific inputs to achieve their genetic potential.
