Maize LAR 1490 X LBR 1558

Maximizing Feed Efficiency with Mas Seeds

For agricultural enterprises focusing on heavy-duty forage production and industrial processing, selecting the right hybrid is paramount. The LAR 1490 X LBR 1558, a late-maturity hybrid from the French breeder Mas Seeds, is engineered to capitalize on extended growing seasons to deliver high biomass yields. This product is specifically designed to meet the rigorous demands of livestock nutrition and industrial-scale corn utilization.

Practical Applications in the Field

• Silage Management: The intermediate grain type ensures excellent digestibility, a critical factor for maintaining high-quality silage that fuels dairy and beef productivity.
• Industrial Processing: With its distinct yellow-orange grain, this hybrid provides the consistency and density required for industrial milling and processing applications.

Field experience indicates that the LAR 1490 X LBR 1558 performs best under intensive management systems where heat units are abundant. Its structural integrity ensures the stalks remain healthy and standing until harvest, reducing field losses and allowing for efficient machine operation. For farm managers, this hybrid represents a strategic choice to secure the winter feed supply. By focusing on late-maturity genetics, the hybrid translates field inputs into reliable nutritional value, helping to stabilize operational costs and maximize the output of every hectare dedicated to feed or industrial raw materials.
