Maize EG 7 C 55

French breeding for universal farming challenges

The EG 7 C 55 hybrid by Lidea represents a hallmark of European maize breeding, where crop utility and flexibility are paramount. Developed by French researchers (originator: Av Du Capitaine N Tchorere, Airaines), this hybrid is designed for growers who prioritize versatility in their fields.

Agronomic Profile

The primary strength of the EG 7 C 55 lies in its dual-purpose nature. In practice, this means the hybrid delivers consistent performance whether grown for grain production or for high-quality silage. Its high plasticity allows the plant to adapt effectively to diverse soil and climate conditions, a core characteristic of the Lidea genetic portfolio.

• Grain production: The hybrid features efficient moisture dry-down and a stable thousand-kernel weight, simplifying logistics and storage processes post-harvest.
• Silage potential: Due to high dry matter content and an optimal leaf-to-stem ratio, the EG 7 C 55 provides nutritious fodder with excellent digestibility, which is essential for successful livestock operations.

The reputation of the Lidea brand is built upon a foundation of deep scientific research. By leveraging the French breeding tradition, this hybrid offers a reliable solution for producers seeking predictable results. Choosing EG 7 C 55 is a decision for stability, reducing operational risks when planning for either fodder needs or commercial grain markets. In today's competitive landscape, where weather patterns are increasingly volatile, this hybrid serves as an essential tool for farmers, allowing them to adapt their harvest strategy based on market trends or internal farm requirements.
