Almond "Pink Flamingo" is a decorative tree that brings tenderness and elegance to the garden thanks to its abundant spring flowering. Large pink-pink buds with a light scent create an atmosphere of romance, and their duration of up to 20 days makes the bush a noticeable element of the landscape. During flowering, the tree resembles a cherry blossom and attracts beneficial insects, which contributes to natural protection against pests.
The plant is characterized by high drought and frost resistance (up to -35 °C), as well as low soil requirements: it prefers well-drained, loamy or clay-loam soil with pH 4.5–7.5. The best time for planting is spring or autumn; when rooting, the roots should be kept in a clay slurry and planted in the morning after 16:00 to ensure optimal root neck level.
Care for "Pink Flamingo" is simple: moderate watering once a week by the volume of a bucket per bush, feeding with specialized fertilizers in early spring and autumn. Pruning is carried out after flowering; severe pruning in spring promotes plant rejuvenation every seven years. Thanks to compact sizes (height 2 m, width 1.5 m), the tree easily fits near benches, gazebos, or in a living fence, creating an elegant and well-kept garden look.
