The genus Cedrus belongs to the Pinaceae family and comprises four distinct evergreen species: Atlas, Cyprus, Himalayan, and Lebanon cedars. It is important to note that these are distinct from the Siberian cedar pine, which is often mistakenly referred to as cedar.
