Adenandra is a genus of evergreen shrubs belonging to the Rutaceae family, native to the Cape region of South Africa. Known for their delicate flowers, these plants are highly prized in horticulture for their aesthetic appeal and unique appearance.

The plant requires very specific growing conditions that mimic its natural habitat. It thrives in well-drained, acidic, sandy soils where water stagnation is completely avoided, as the root system is extremely sensitive to excess moisture.

High light intensity is essential for the healthy development of Adenandra. In regions outside of its natural habitat, it is grown primarily in greenhouses or conservatories where full sun exposure can be guaranteed throughout the day.

Implementing a rigorous sanitation schedule, including the removal of dead or dying tissue, effectively lowers the risk of pathogen build-up within the growing environment.
