Storm petrels

Storm petrels (genus Oceanites) are small seabirds belonging to the family Hydrobatidae. They are purely oceanic species that spend their entire life cycle at sea, far away from agricultural fields and vegetable crops.

These birds are anatomically adapted to pelagic environments, feeding exclusively on planktonic organisms and small fish found at the ocean surface.

Taxonomically, they belong to the order Procellariiformes. Their biology makes it impossible for them to be classified as plant pests or agricultural threats.
