Tomato RUBINGUD

Practical Application of 'Rubingud' Tomato

The breeding selection from 'Niisok' is a classic determinate cherry tomato that serves the early-ripening market segment. With an ultra-early maturation period of 90–100 days, this variety enables producers to reach the market quickly, which is crucial for early-season supply or maintaining a continuous produce pipeline.

Agribusiness Use Cases

• Greenhouse Cultivation: Due to its compact plant habit, this variety is optimal for plastic greenhouses where high planting density is required. This ensures efficient use of valuable space in vertical farming systems.
• Packing and Retail: With a fruit weight of up to 20 grams, these round tomatoes are perfect for the 'mini-tomato' segment. They exhibit high resistance to cracking and maintain a superior commercial appearance, simplifying logistics as the berries remain intact when packed in clamshells or trays.
• Canning Industry: The small fruit size makes 'Rubingud' a sought-after raw material for whole-canning operations. The uniform red color and consistent size allow for the automation of jar packing lines.

For agricultural businesses, 'Rubingud' offers predictability. Unlike large-fruited hybrids, this variety provides a higher percentage of marketable yield due to its stable fruit shape. Agronomists recommend this variety for operations targeting retail chains, where demand for portion-sized vegetables is consistently on the rise.
