Tomato N 6438

Tomato N 6438 F1 is an ultra-early determinate hybrid of Dutch selection by the company Nunhems Zaden, intended for cultivation in open ground. The plant is compact and of medium growth vigor, reaching a height of up to 0.8 meters, with abundant foliage and a high number of fruit set. Sowing seedlings allows for earlier fruit ripening, with fruits maturing as early as 85-95 days after sowing. The recommended planting density is 30-35 thousand plants per hectare, which contributes to high productivity and ease of mechanized harvesting.

The fruits of tomato N 6438 F1 have a cube-shaped form, weighing 60-70 grams, with a deep red color and uniform structure. They are characterized by dense skin and fleshiness, ensuring high transportability and suitability for mechanized harvesting. The fruits easily detach from the calyx, facilitating harvesting and processing. High dry matter content enhances flavor, making the tomatoes particularly attractive for fresh consumption, canning, and processing. The absence of green spot at the base of the fruit is an additional advantage.

The hybrid exhibits resistance to major tomato diseases, including Fusarium and Verticillium wilts, as well as tolerance to nematodes, which increases crop reliability. With potassium fertilization, the fruits demonstrate high storability, which is important for long-term storage and transportation. Rapid and concentrated fruit ripening, along with compact plant structure, make tomato N 6438 F1 a favorable choice for farmers focused on mechanized harvesting and fresh market sales.
