Tomato DAFNE F1

Czech Breeding for Professional Greenhouses

DAFNE F1 by Moravoseed represents the classic European approach to plant breeding, where the balance between yield and fruit quality is paramount. Developed in collaboration with John Bertinat Seeds, this indeterminate hybrid has established itself firmly in the professional vegetable growing segment due to its predictability and high commercial value.

Biological Features and Productivity

The variety is mid-early: it takes 90–100 days from seedling emergence to the onset of fruiting. Its indeterminate growth habit requires plant training, making it an ideal choice for protected soil cultivation, where the agronomist can fully manage vertical stem development. The plant possesses a robust immune system, which is critical for greenhouse operations:

• Comprehensive Protection: The hybrid is resistant to Fusarium wilt, Verticillium wilt, and Tobacco Mosaic Virus (TMV), significantly reducing the need for fungicide treatments.
• Stable Yield: Fruits weighing 100–150 grams have an iconic round shape and deep red color, making them highly desirable for retail markets.

Logistics and Market Advantages

The standout feature of DAFNE F1 is its transportability. The dense skin and flesh allow for long-distance shipping without compromising marketability. For farmers, this translates to minimal waste when supplying wholesale warehouses or retail chains. DAFNE F1 is the choice of agronomists who prioritize reliability and stable results, regardless of environmental fluctuations.
