Sunflower VK 305 SUN is an ultraprecocious variety with a vegetation period ranging from 74 to 80 days, enabling farmers to harvest two crops per season, especially following winter crops. This variety was developed by specialists of the Institute of Oilseed Crops and is distinguished by its stable productivity under various climatic conditions, making it suitable for cultivation across all climatic zones of Ukraine. The seeds are dark gray, medium-sized, and exhibit high resistance to downy mildew and other diseases, including fusarium, false powdery mildew, sunflower moth, and phomopsis.
VK 305 SUN is characterized by high drought and lodging resistance, ensuring reliable yields even under adverse weather conditions. Plants reach a height of approximately 180 cm, and the flower head diameter is about 22 cm. The variety is distinguished by its high oil content in seeds — up to 48% — which enhances its economic attractiveness. The yield potential ranges from 2 to 3 tons per hectare, and the variety demonstrates high resistance to downy mildew and other diseases, reducing the need for intensive plant protection.
Due to its adaptability and flexibility, VK 305 SUN is successfully cultivated in various agroclimatic zones, including steppe, forest-steppe, and Polissia regions. Classical cultivation technology allows efficient use of this variety in traditional agrotechnical systems. High profitability, driven by rapid maturation and high-quality seed characteristics, makes VK 305 SUN a popular choice among farmers seeking stable and high sunflower yields.
