Sunflower GKT829/08

German Breeding for Precision Farming

The GKT829/08 hybrid from the renowned German breeding house P.H. Petersen Saatzucht Lundsgaard represents a specialized approach to sunflower cultivation. In a market where agricultural efficiency and harvest logistics are paramount, this hybrid stands out for its unique morphological structure.

Biological Traits and Productivity

The defining characteristic of GKT829/08 in a modern crop rotation is its compact size. The small, slightly convex head ensures uniform seed maturation and significantly reduces seed shattering losses during the harvest period. The medium-sized black seeds exhibit excellent test weight, simplifying post-harvest cleaning and calibration processes.

• Origin: Germany, developed by P.H. Petersen Saatzucht Lundsgaard.
• Head morphology: Compact and convex, designed for efficient threshing.
• Seed type: Black, medium-sized.

The German genetic approach behind this hybrid focuses on consistency. Despite the smaller head size, GKT829/08 demonstrates high grain-filling intensity, maintaining competitive yield levels when planted at optimal densities. This makes the hybrid an excellent choice for farms utilizing intensive management practices that require balanced vegetative growth and high-quality harvest output.
