Sorghum Prime — an ultra-early, low-growing hybrid of the grain type, distinguished by high plasticity and adaptability to growing conditions. The vegetation period is 105-115 days, and the average plant height reaches 100-110 cm. The hybrid features red grain color and a tillering coefficient of 2-3. Due to its powerful, light-green leaf apparatus, the plant maintains excellent phytosanitary condition throughout the vegetation, which helps suppress weeds and retain soil moisture. The stem is strong and resistant to lodging, ensuring stable yields.
Prime demonstrates high resistance to stressful growing conditions, including cold and drought tolerance. It develops successfully even on low-fertility soils such as washed-out lands and saline soils, although for maximum productivity, soils with medium to high agrochemical potential and crop rotation rules are recommended. The hybrid is suitable for cultivation across all of Ukraine and yields stable harvests of up to 11 t/ha, with potential yields exceeding 12 t/ha.
Sorghum Prime is intended for grain production, which is used as animal feed, as well as in bioethanol and starch production. Additionally, the hybrid can be used as a green manure or for haymaking. The optimal cultivation method is row planting with wide spacing (about 70 cm), which promotes maximum water and mineral fertilizer use. Due to its characteristics, Sorghum Prime is a reliable and efficient choice for farmers aiming to achieve high and stable yields under various climatic and soil conditions.
