Pompei soybean variety is a high-yielding type with medium-late maturity, recommended for cultivation in moderate climate regions such as the Lublin, Podkarpackie, Lower Silesian, and Opole Voivodeships. Plants reach a height of 95 to 120 cm, have an intermediate growth type and upright stems. Seeds are oval-shaped with a yellow hull and brown hilum, suitable for food use, making this variety versatile for various purposes. The 1000-seed weight varies from 160 to 225 grams, indicating good seed quality.

Pompei belongs to the early and medium-late maturity group, capable of yielding a potential harvest of over 7 tons per hectare under optimal growing conditions and precise sowing. The recommended seeding rate is 400,000 to 500,000 germinating seeds per hectare. The variety is well-adapted to various soil types, except acidic soils, and is characterized by high protein content (over 41-44%) and oil content (20-23%), enhancing its economic value and appeal to the food industry.

To increase the productivity of Pompei soybean seeds, modern agronomic technologies such as carbon dioxide treatment can be applied. Studies have shown that saturating seeds with CO2 for 40 minutes activates metabolic processes, which can increase yield by approximately 12%.
