The Annushka variety is an ultra-early maturing soybean variety of Ukrainian selection, successfully tested in the United Kingdom and included in the European Catalogue of Plant Varieties in 2009.
The Annushka soybean variety ranked first in Ukraine by sown area (175,000 hectares in 2010) and maintains its leading position. It has been recognized as the best soybean variety in the CIS countries.
Plants of this variety are of intermediate growth type, with compact bushes. Plant height is 80-110 cm, lower pod setting height is 12-15 cm, hypocotyl with anthocyanin, dark gray pubescence, purple flowers. Leaves are lanceolate.
Seeds are medium-sized (1000 seed mass 110-155 g), oval-rounded, yellow, hilum yellow with hilum spot. The variety is characterized by increased number of pods per plant and seeds per pod (up to 40% of 4-seeded pods).
Plants have high productivity potential (4.2 t/ha and more without irrigation). The Annushka soybean variety has no analogs in terms of early maturity, allowing for two harvests per year. It is a completely reliable predecessor for winter crops (including winter rapeseed). Full maturity occurs with a total accumulation of 1950 CHU (95-105 days) in central Lithuania. Plants of this variety are resistant to lodging and exhibit high field resistance to diseases.
The variety is suitable for cultivation on high agrofonds and under irrigation.
